BIODATA



I was born and raised in Lagos where I did my early primary education. Completed by first school leaving certificate in St. Stephens State School, and proceded to Government Secondary School both in Amassoma in the present Bayelsa State. For my university education, I attended Lagos State University, Ojo in Lagos State, where I bagged a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Computer Science. I was trained as a Iris/Unix Software/Hardware administrator Silicon Graphics International in South African, and also trained as a Microsoft Application Specialist.
 

I worked in Department of States, U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service and Foreign Diplomacy under Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United States in Nigeria for a period of eight years 1998 to 2006. I have also put in over 5 years of service with Chevron Nigeria Ltd, where I presently work as Creative and Digital Media Advisor in the Policy, Government and Public Affairs Department.

WORK EXPERIENCE




1.        Chevron Nigeria Ltd
            Communications Division, Policy Government and Public Affairs (PGPA) 2006 - 2012

            Position and Key Responsibilities: Creative and Digital Media Advisor. Part of my job profile is to ensure Chevron brand compliance; concepts development and visualization, creative design, pre-press and print production management. Implementation of key elements of the PGPA Group’s communications plans in Community Engagement (CE), Community Relations, General Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) Internal and External Communications as well as Events and Branding.

2.         United States Embassy
            Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) 2005 – 2006

            Position and Key Responsibilities: As anAdministration Assistant, I worked directly under the Agriculture Officer. During this period, Part of my responsibilities were to arranging meetings, organize official events and travels, update the web page of the section and contribute articles to the FAS Worldwide magazine.

3.         United States Embassy
            Public Affairs Section (PAS) 1998 – 2004

            Position and Key Responsibilities: As an Information Assistant, I worked at different times for both the Public Affairs Director and the Information Officer. I was responsible for organizing weekly press briefings for senior reporters. I attended to inquiries from visitors and callers, arrange meetings, organize official events and travels. I also prepared daily press summary for distribution to all senior Embassy officers. Part of my responsibilities were also to update the web page of the section, contribute articles for publication in the Crossroads magazine and providing technical assistance to the editor.

4.        Simoch International Limited
           Computer Systems, Sales and Installations - 1992 - 1993

           Position and Key Responsibilities: As Systems Manager, I was shaddled with the responsibility of start up a new Design and Publishing Bureau for the company. Part of my responsibilities were to recuit personnel, equip and furnish the office and manage the business. 

5.        Bonaventure Limited
           Data Warehousing Computer Center, 1991 - 1992

            Position and Key Responsibilities: I was Assistant Systems Manager and my portfolio including systems integrity and control, customer relations. I was also responsible for starting and managing the company’s new Business Bureau.
